The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, co-brand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the U.S. Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world-class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged Card Members across the customer lifecycle.
The Prospect, Partner & Customer Growth team within U.S. Consumer Marketing is responsible for delivering best-in-class marketing through digital and direct channels to drive conversion of qualified applicants in a highly competitive landscape.
The Senior Analyst, Paid Search will own the end-to-end Paid Search strategy, execution, forecasting, and performance for a portfolio of American Express Card products. As the primary owner for the portfolio, this role will partner across Marketing Execution, Enablement, Legal & Compliance, Analytics, Product Marketing, and other stakeholders to bring key business initiatives to market, optimize performance, and drive business growth.
We are currently hiring two Senior Analysts for the Paid Search team. One role will primarily support the Proprietary Card portfolio, while the second role will primarily support the Co-brand Card portfolio (Delta, Hilton, and Marriott). Both positions offer end-to-end portfolio ownership and will play a critical role in shaping Paid Search strategy, performance, and business outcomes across one of American Express' largest acquisition channels.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Paid Search strategy, execution, forecasting, and performance for an assigned Card portfolio, serving as the primary business owner for the portfolio.
- Lead the Paid Search execution of key business initiatives, including product launches, product refreshes, limited-time offers, and other strategic marketing campaigns.
- Build and manage relationships with Marketing Execution, Enablement, Legal & Compliance, Analytics, Product Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to drive alignment and deliver business results.
- Own the Paid Search testing roadmap, developing recommendations and translating learnings into future optimizations.
- Lead ad copy development, partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver customer-centric messaging aligned with business objectives and Paid Search best practices.
- Lead forecasting, performance reporting, and business insights, translating results into actionable recommendations that support business planning and investment decisions.
- Analyze performance to identify trends, business drivers, risks, and optimization opportunities that improve acquisition outcomes.
- Own performance communications, executive updates, and key deliverables that inform leadership decision-making.
- Own project management across the portfolio, including launch readiness, Jira management, stakeholder communications, and key deliverables.
- Own the Paid Search compliance and controls processes, ensuring governance requirements are met and campaigns are approved and launched on time.
- Stay informed on Google Ads platform enhancements, emerging Paid Search trends, and industry best practices to identify opportunities that strengthen channel performance and support business growth.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, project management, analytics, forecasting, or a related field.
- Passion for digital marketing with an understanding of Paid Search, performance marketing, and customer acquisition.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex marketing initiatives and driving results through cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives from planning through execution.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to use data and performance insights to make thoughtful business recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience translating data into actionable business insights.
- Self-starter with a "can do" attitude, strong sense of ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering results.
- Demonstrated curiosity and a test-and-learn mindset with a desire to continuously improve business performance.
- Ability to independently manage operational processes, ensure compliance with governance requirements, and deliver results with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
