Job Description

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to the success of businesses big and small with the vision to be essential to our customers’ businesses every day. The Small Business Product Strategy and Card Features team sits within our GCS Small Business Products organization. This team is responsible for identifying and delivering high-potential opportunities that create lasting multi-product relationships with high-value customers . Working across Card, Card Lending, Line of Credit, Banking, and Digital Experience teams, SBS Digital Strategy aligns the direction and purpose of the Small Business organization to support delivery of cross-product business digital experiences.

The Senior Manager, SBS Digital Card & Spend Experiences will own the strategy and cross-product delivery agenda for Spend Management and the end-to-end digital Card experience, with a focus on making it easier for customers to understand, manage and take action on their business spend.

Responsibilities

  • Define Digital Card & Spend strategy: Shape the strategy and roadmap for Spend Management and the end-to-end digital Card experience

  • Lead Spend Management journeys: Translate customer needs into prioritized experiences and drive them from concept through delivery

  • Advance spend insights: Develop capabilities that help customers understand, categorize and take-action on their spending

  • Evolve Card Controls: Partner with the Employee Card and Virtual Card teams to enhance controls for customers to manage spending

  • Enhance third-party integrations: Identify opportunities to connect relevant external platforms into customer workflows

  • Advance Expense Management agenda: Develop near-in capabilities that address priority expense-management needs

  • Drive analytics & experimentation: Use EDX insights, testing and performance data to optimize experiences and inform priorities

  • Shape channel strategy: Define the appropriate roles of mobile and web based on customer needs and behavior

Qualifications

  • Experience in digital product strategy or management, including end-to-end strategy to execution, preferably in financial services
  • Strong analytical skills, and a demonstrated ability to interpret business and industry trends to identify opportunities and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to simultaneously maximize customer centricity with driving business results
  • Strong understanding of card products and small business financial needs
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Comfort in ambiguity with an ability to learn quickly, “connect the dots”, challenge and innovate, and drive results.
  • Excellent relationship management skills - proven ability to build and strengthen relationships across all levels, both internally and externally. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
  • Bachelor's degree
  • NY or Atlanta-based position (hybrid) with occasional travel
