Job Description
Membership Portfolio Services, within our US Consumer Services Business, is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. We are developing unique and differentiated ways to strengthen the Membership Model across Amex Offers, Advertising, Dining and Marketing Technology.
The Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) team is a global organization that sits within Membership Portfolio Services (MPS). It is American Express’ marketing services center of excellence with the charter of powering high quality, efficient, user-centric digital marketing experiences that accelerate business growth through optimized enterprise MarTech & MarOps solutions.
The Sr. Manager, MarOps Enablement Services (MES) will join ECMX’s US Marketing Operations (MarOps) organization, focused on providing frictionless, flexible, and flawless marketing enablement. This is achieved by streamlining, scaling, and transforming operations to deliver greater efficiency, agility, quality, and speed.
The Sr. Manager will play a critical role in enabling faster, more agile launches of complex and high-priority marketing initiatives, unlocking end-to-end velocity and quality across existing and emerging Marketing Technology (MarTech) platforms. This role will independently lead complex cross-functional initiatives, connect priorities across MarOps and partner teams, and identify opportunities to transform how marketing work gets delivered.
A successful Sr. Manager combines strong program leadership and operational expertise with an understanding of the marketing and MarTech ecosystem. They build trusted relationships across functions, translate complex business and technical needs into actionable plans, proactively identify and resolve risks and dependencies, and drive continuous improvement in an evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end planning and execution of complex, high-priority USCM and GCSM marketing initiatives across existing and new platforms, managing milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
- Partner across Marketing, MarOps, Product, and Technology teams to translate business needs into actionable plans, remove roadblocks, and drive successful execution.
- Create structure and visibility across interconnected initiatives, ensuring alignment on priorities, milestones, timelines, and dependencies.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, tools, and ways of working to increase speed, efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Develop clear reporting and executive-ready communications, synthesize complex information into recommendations, and mentor colleagues to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience leading complex cross-functional programs, operational initiatives, technology implementations, and/or process transformation.
- Strong program management skills with experience managing interconnected workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and influence across Marketing, MarOps, Product, and Technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex needs into clear actions and recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences and leadership.
- Ability to drive decisions and results in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
- Knowledge of marketing operations, campaign execution, and/or MarTech platforms preferred; proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo.

The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Salary range
- $103,750 - $174,750 per year
