Are you looking for purpose-driven work where you can make a positive impact on communities around the world? If so, then Committee for Children is an amazing place to grow your career as a Senior Product Manager of Edtech Innovation. We’re a social enterprise dedicated to advancing the well-being of children through the development of essential human skills. As a Senior Product Manager, Edtech Innovation at CFC, you'll lead the development of a new product line for the K–12 U.S. education market, driving strategy and execution from concept to launch. The role focuses on translating market insights into innovative, scalable solutions that support students, educators, and schools, and on running disciplined agile delivery to turn that strategy into shipped, validated product. Working closely with the VP, Product, leadership, and cross-functional teams, the position guides innovation, secures resources, and manages performance to ensure products are impactful and sustainable.

What you’ll do when you join us:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Collaborate with the VP, Product and other members of the leadership team in the development of portfolio-expanding new products aligned with our diversification strategy and organizational mission
  • Translate student, educator, and district needs into a compelling, scalable product vision
  • Define success metrics and establish product goals grounded in user value, learning outcomes, and business impact
  • Own the product roadmap and backlog prioritization, and hold final accountability for stage-gate go/no-go decisions

Portfolio Governance & Board Reporting

  • Represent the product and team at quarterly Impact Committee (Board of Directors) meetings and at key project milestones, presenting business cases, evidence, and progress to build board confidence and credibility in the product line; bring core team members into these sessions when it strengthens that case
  • Participate in monthly Bridge Role meetings with department directors—the connective tissue between the product team and cross-departmental leadership—presenting roadmap, business case, and evidence updates, and partnering on planning for the product’s ongoing support and growth beyond launch

Market Research & Concept Development

  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the education sector.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and technology partners to ensure product relevance and feasibility.
  • Generate, refine, and prioritize innovative product ideas that align with impact and revenue goals.

0–1 Product Development

  • Lead the design and development of product prototypes that bring early concepts to life and enable rapid iteration.
  • Design and execute testing strategies to gather user feedback, validate assumptions, and refine product concepts and prototypes.
  • Lead roadmap creation and iterative development from concept to launch
  • Build business cases and secure executive buy-in and resources

Execution & Agile Delivery

  • Own and continuously refine the product backlog in the team’s tools of record (e.g., Jira, Confluence), writing clear epics, stories, and acceptance criteria that translate strategy into sprint-ready work
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies—sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives—and maintain a consistent sprint cadence in partnership with delivery/project management
  • Track delivery health (velocity, cycle time) and drive iterative, evidence-based delivery: ship in small increments and adjust scope based on real user feedback and data

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with researchers, instructional designers, UX, engineering, and go-to-market teams, with clear ownership across the team
  • Facilitate agile rituals and ensure alignment across product, design, and technical execution
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes

Operational & Financial Oversight

  • Manage the budget for product innovation, ensuring efficient and strategic use of resources.
  • Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback, learning outcomes, and business impact.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in EdTech or youth-focused industries
  • Proven track record leading 0–1 product development and launching new products that achieved scale and revenue targets
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools for product development, user research, or personalization
  • Hands-on experience with agile/Scrum or Kanban practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery tracking
  • Experience managing or influencing cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of K–12 education markets, especially district and school purchasing dynamics
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Travel Requirements: Travel is typically quarterly but may be as frequent as every two months for research, testing, and other activities as needed.
  • Note: This position is remote; employees are eligible to work remotely in any of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, VA, WA.

The hiring range for this position is $133,000-165,000 annually. The pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
