Job Summary
The University of Kentucky Pigman College of Engineering Paducah Campus is seeking a STEPS Administrative Assistant/Associate to serve as a key administrative resource supporting the Campus Director and selected special projects and strategic initiatives. This position plays an important role in the daily operations of the campus, managing administrative workflow, coordinating communications with industry partners, community organizations, donors, and University stakeholders, and possibly assisting with workforce development and external engagement activities.
Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating campus events such as industry and community visits, donor engagements, conferences, student activities, faculty searches, and graduation ceremonies; attending meetings and preparing meeting minutes; and supporting special projects as assigned. The position will also process and track academic and administrative documentation, including curriculum materials and proposal submissions, and aid with University administrative processes such as travel reimbursements, purchasing requests, and related activities. The successful candidate will be highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, University leadership, and external partners.
This position serves as a key administrative resource supporting the Director of the UK College of Engineering Paducah Campus and some special projects.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily workflow and administrative operations while supporting the campus Director and some special projects.
- Coordinate communications with industries, communities, and donors in collaboration with the Director and leadership.
- Plan and coordinate campus events, including industry and community visits, donor visits, conferences, student recruitment activities, faculty searches, graduation ceremonies, etc.
- Attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Process and track academic and administrative documentation, including curriculum support materials, proposal submissions, etc.
- Assist with workforce development activities and industry engagement.
- Some level of assistance with travel reimbursements, purchasing requests, and other university administrative processes.
