Job Summary

Student Research Assistant – Web Data Collection and Analytics
We are seeking a student research assistant to support an academic research project examining consumer technology and corporate digital practices.
The student will gain hands-on experience collecting and analyzing real-world data from online sources. Responsibilities may include historical web research, web scraping, data collection, dataset construction, data cleaning, and statistical analysis.
Generative AI tools may not be used for data collection.
This position provides hands-on experience with:
• Data analytics and research
• Web scraping and data collection
• Historical web and internet data
• Building and managing real-world datasets
• Analytical tools and statistical analysis
• Digital platforms and emerging technologies
This position requires:
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and an interest in technology or data analytics. Prior data collection or research experience is helpful but not required.
The project may ultimately contribute to a peer-reviewed academic research paper.
