Job Duties

<li>65% - Contracts • Independent review, negotiating, and crafting of College and system-wide contracts and associated documentation, including non-competitive and competitive. • Responsible for oversight of the DocuSign and TBR Contracts Log process, to ensure contract completion and record retention policies are adhered to. • Provides oversight for all Order Form processing. • Primary responsibility for responding to inquiries from Contracts Officers, the TCATs and other institutional and external constituents of the TBR System regarding contracts issues and status. • Assists in the development of and provides training for the contracts review, revision and routing processes. • Creates contract forms, templates and maintains those templates. • Overseeing the maintenance of electronic contract files, user input, monitoring and notification of contract renewals and expirations as requested by the Director, Contracts &amp; Reporting. - (Essential)</li>

Working in partnership with Ballad Health, this role delivers classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction; supports student skill development; and ensures a positive, professional learning environment. The instructor maintains accurate records, assists with program development and recruitment, and models the professional standards expected in the nursing field. This position is funded through December 31, 2026, with continuation dependent upon available grant funding. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

<li>Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee; BSN preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years of experience in the nursing field within the last five (5) years.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years current clinical nursing experience.</li>
<li>Teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred.</li>
<li>Instructor must have sincere interest in teaching and nursing, enjoy working with people, and have the ability to deal tactfully with people.</li>
<li>Instructor must have a high standard of personal and professional ethics and possess an understanding and appreciation of the role and scope of the school and program purpose.&nbsp;</li>

&nbsp;General Duties:&nbsp;
The adjunct practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Director of Clinical Education along with the PN faculty, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting.&nbsp;In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners.&nbsp;The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp;Some travel is required.
Salary:&nbsp; $30 per hour/Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
