Squad Lead - Product Owner

ResponsibilitiesThe Engineer Training Program (ETP) provides technical training &amp; development for new engineers in the processes, technologies, &amp; manufacturing steps in investment casting that are used at Howmet Aerospace.&nbsp; The program focuses on&nbsp;building a strong foundation by exposing engineers to different parts of our Engines business unit.&nbsp;Individuals will participate in three rotations, lasting six months each. Assignments are cross-functional &amp;&nbsp;based on the individual skills of the Engineer as well as&nbsp;the needs of the organization.&nbsp; During the final rotation, the Engineer will seek out a current full-time opening for a permanent position at one of the Howmet Engines facilities.&nbsp; A few examples of roles that ETP Engineers transition into are Process Engineer, Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Owner, Automation Engineer or Facilities Engineer.&nbsp;*Candidates must be willing to relocate during the 18 month program*Where Will This Position Be?&nbsp;The three assignments will be in different plants among the following cities:<ul><li>Dover, NJ (2 facilities)</li><li>Hampton, VA (2 facilities)</li><li>La Porte, IN</li><li>Morristown, TN</li><li>Wichita Falls, TX</li><li>Whitehall, MI (6 facilities)</li></ul>Daily Responsibilities/Activities:&nbsp;ETP Engineers&nbsp;will learn the following in the program:<ul><li>How to affect change within the business:<ul><li>Develop an understanding of how to prioritize projects that have the most impact to the needs of the business.</li><li>Develop the ability to take on technical challenges and deal with complexity that culminates in solutions to the highest priority projects.</li><li>Learn how to implement those solutions during cross-functional technical development opportunities.</li></ul></li><li>Doman specific knowledge in areas including, but not limited to:<ul><li>Casting and supporting processes</li><li>Materials used in our processes (metals/ceramic/polymers)</li><li>Thermal processing</li><li>Dimensional analysis and control</li><li>Non-destructive inspections</li><li>Alloy manufacturing</li><li>Data analytics</li><li>Automation</li><li>Coatings</li><li>Facility engineering</li></ul></li></ul>QualificationsBasic Qualifications<ul><li>Pursuing a BS&nbsp;in&nbsp;Engineering from an accredited institution with&nbsp;a Spring 2026&nbsp;graduation date.</li><li>Candidates must be willing to relocate during the program.</li><li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.&nbsp; Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.&nbsp; Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.</li><li>This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicants ability to lawfully obtain access to such items</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Pursuing one of the following Engineering degrees: BS in Materials Science &amp; Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Ceramics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering with a Spring 2026&nbsp;graduation date&nbsp;</li><li>Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment highly desired.</li><li>Knowledge of MS Office and Excel, excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work in a self-directed and team environment and have good organizational skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of statistical analysis.</li><li>Knowledge/exposure to facilities engineering&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated technical ability through classwork, internships/co-ops and projects.</li><li>Ability to work with and lead a team.</li><li>Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.</li><li>Desire to work in an advanced manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong analytical abilities.</li></ul>About us﻿Howmet Aerospace Inc.
