Duties include, but are not limited to, clinical trial and observational study review, design and review of data collection forms and stratification/randomization of studies; statistical programming; data analysis and monitoring; and report writing under the mentorship and supervision of senior staff.&nbsp; This position will also serve on internal CBAR committees.The Biostatistician II will take leadership roles in activities within CBAR and in a Project/Network. Such leadership roles may include:<ul><li>Heading a CBAR committee or working group</li><li>Acting as a Topic Resource support to training and guidance materials for CBAR</li><li>Providing technical support to a Network-level committee or working group with minimal supervision</li></ul>Duties under the direction of a senior statistician may include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Conduct periodic, and final analyses of data, using specialized statistical techniques and statistical programming. Determine proper summary statistics, report formats, and all other analysis considerations</li><li>Review the proposed study methodology, study parameters, and all other related study factors of concept sheets and protocols to ensure conformance with accepted statistical principles. Recommend revisions and modifications</li><li>Determine and write statistical considerations for protocol documents and statistical analysis plans, according to study design and appropriate statistical methods</li><li>Develop stratification and randomization materials in compliance with the study design</li><li>Collaborate with senior statisticians on methodological research related to infectious diseases</li></ul>Duties are initiated and carried out independently by a Biostatistician II for specific protocols or projects:<ul><li>Oversee the development of data collection forms and proposed data management methods to ensure that the data to be collected will meet study objectives and allow valid analyses</li><li>Ensure integrity of data collection, data review, data compilation, and analysis techniques by monitoring protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with proper statistical techniques</li><li>Identify potential or actual administrative or scientific problems; suggest and implement corrective action</li><li>Prepare periodic and ad hoc data status reports</li><li>Collaborate with clinicians and senior CBAR statisticians on manuscripts, abstracts, and other publications documenting study findings</li><li>Participate in peer review and critique or reports and analyses, collaborate in resolution of technical problems, and maintain professional knowledge and expertise</li></ul>The Biostatistician II will perform other duties as assigned.Please attach the following required documents when applying: 1) Resume, 2) Cover letter, 3) Transcript (official or unofficial) from MA/MS program and 4) Names and email addresses for three (3) Professional references.PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term date of November 30, 2027 with a strong likelihood of extension.
