Job Description <a href="https://legalservicescenter.org/" target="_blank">The Legal Services Center (LSC) of Harvard Law School</a> seeks to hire an Attorney Clinical Instructor to join our Consumer Protection Clinic. &nbsp;The Clinic provides free legal representation to low-income community members in a wide range of consumer law matters in both state and federal court.&nbsp; The Clinic’s docket reflects a mix of individual debt collection defense matters, affirmative litigation on behalf of classes of consumers, and bankruptcies to give consumers fresh starts.&nbsp; Affirmative cases challenge a wide array of predatory marketplace conduct, such as zombie credit card and mortgage debt, home solar panel scams, usurious loans, and unfair and unlawful debt collection practices. Simultaneously, the Consumer Clinic trains, supervises, and mentors Harvard Law School clinical students in their representation of clients.&nbsp; The Clinical Instructor will work closely with the Consumer Protection Clinic’s Director and will litigate cases, train, supervise, and mentor clinical law students, and ensure the Clinic is responsive to community needs.&nbsp; This position represents a unique opportunity to join Harvard Law School’s clinical program, to work in a dynamic, community-based, public interest and clinical teaching law office, and to engage on critical issues in consumer law. As the primary community contact and brand ambassador, the Branch Manager leads branch staff, fostering high-quality service, efficient operations, and effective sales of Harvard FCU products and services.Job Specific Responsibilities:Commitment to Service Excellence<ul><li>Lead by example by delivering exceptional service to members, and internal teams.</li><li>Foster a culture of responsiveness, empathy, and thorough follow-through.</li><li>Ensure operational processes reflect the warmth and attentiveness members expect.</li><li>Promote seamless, efficient, and supportive internal service interactions.</li><li>Ensure all members have access to our services.</li></ul>Empathetic and Solution-Oriented Support<ul><li>Reinforce a culture of care through empathetic, efficient team interactions.</li></ul>Operational Oversight<ul><li>Manage all branch operations: scheduling, opening/closing, daily balancing, security, and audits.</li><li>Ensure consistent, courteous service excellence.</li></ul>Driving Results<ul><li>Grow deposits and drive membership growth by engaging with existing members, sourcing leads, and building new business relationships.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and internal policies.</li><li>Achieve sales goals through strategic initiatives and member engagement.</li><li>Participate in performance meetings and communicate effectively with staff via daily huddles and monthly meetings.</li></ul>Sales Focus<ul><li>Develop and implement sales strategies to promote Harvard FCU products.</li><li>Monitor performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Train and mentor staff on sales techniques and member engagement.</li><li>Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns and retain existing members.</li></ul>Community Engagement<ul><li>Represent Harvard FCU in the community and at networking events.</li><li>Actively promote membership growth and increase visibility within partner organizations and local communities.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with affiliate personnel and conduct on-site visits.</li><li>Support outreach efforts including benefit fairs, seminars, and educational programs.</li></ul>Business Prospecting and Floating<ul><li>Identify and develop new business opportunities to support membership growth.</li><li>Float to other branches as needed to maintain service standards.</li></ul>Business Partner Collaboration<ul><li>Work with department managers to align strategies and initiatives.</li></ul>Know Your Business: Educate &amp; Empower<ul><li>Apply credit union expertise to drive success.</li><li>Foster teamwork, inclusion, and professional development.</li><li>Communicate clearly to ensure alignment and growth</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.</li></ul> Qualifications Basic Qualifications:Basic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required</li><li>3+ years’ relevant work experience</li></ul>Additional Qualifications and Skills:The following qualifications are strongly preferred.
