ResponsibilitiesOur state-of-the-art investment casting facility in Wichita Falls, Texas&nbsp;is seeking an Electrical&nbsp;Engineer to join our team.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Nestled halfway between Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas&nbsp;and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, our facility in Wichita Falls&nbsp;supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry.&nbsp;Primary Purpose and Responsibilities of Job:The person in this position will be part of a Plant Engineering team that is responsible for maintenance&nbsp;of the facility and equipment&nbsp;including all manufacturing processes from wax injection thru rough dimensional finishing and NDI testing of finished parts. This group is responsible for the implementation of projects to upgrade existing equipment and systems, coordinates and supports plant rearrangements and assists in the selection, procurement and installation of new equipment to support changes in our manufacturing process.&nbsp; This group also supports the day-to-day operations by acting as a resource for skilled trades and contracted services.Under the direction of an Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for effecting workable solutions to engineering and production problems and solving those problems and solving those problems rapidly and with minimum operational interference.&nbsp; The incumbent communicates continually with all levels of personnel in the Maintenance, Planning, Production, Purchasing, Human Resources, Finance, and EHS departments, as well as with Technical Supervisors and other Engineering &amp; Design Department personnel.&nbsp;Externally, they communicate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.&nbsp;Accountability Objectives:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul> <li>Providing electrical engineering support for systems and equipment in assigned aera.</li> <li>Developing, recommending, and implementing migration paths for obsolete controls and components.&nbsp;</li> <li>Providing compliance oversight and directing planned maintenance activities for plant power distribution systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Planning, scheduling, and coordinating equipment installations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Providing engineering and consultation services in terms of diagnosis and solutions to difficult operating and maintenance problems including performing root cause analysis with the goal of increasing OEE.&nbsp;</li> <li>Mentoring electrical technicians, maintenance supervisors, and craft personnel.&nbsp;</li> <li>Driving continuous improvements improvement activities to eliminate all waste, especially as it relates to equipment downtime, safety, work practices, and employee involvement.&nbsp;</li> <li>Performing and/or directing the design, development, installation, cost control, and evaluation of complex engineering projects.&nbsp;</li> <li>Writing and/or approving engineering specifications, designs, estimates, schedules, spare parts lists, request for quotations, requisitions, work orders, etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>Developing, preparing, and executing on capital improvement projects.&nbsp; Monitoring and managing these capital projects’ financial charges against the approved financial budget to avoid exceeding the authorized amount expected timeline.&nbsp; Preparing documentation, such as engineering and project status reports, as required.&nbsp;Carry these capital projects from their beginning through completion.&nbsp;</li> <li>Performing other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul>QualificationsBasic Qualifications:<ul> <li>BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.</li> <li>3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.&nbsp; Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.&nbsp; Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.</li> <li>This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.</li></ul>&nbsp;Preferred Qualifications:<ul> <li>Experience managing and executing capital projects.</li> <li>Previous experience with combustion systems or furnace operation.</li> <li>A high degree of interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others, including those not under their direct supervision.</li> <li>PLC programming experience.</li> <li>HMI programming experience.</li> <li>Experience with Allen Bradley PLC, RS Logix &amp; Studio 5000.</li> <li>Experience with Wonderware, IFIX &amp; SCADA’s.</li> <li>Knowledge of Electrical distribution systems for voltage below 600V.</li> <li>Proficient user of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.</li> <li>Experience with industrial robots, Moto man or other.</li> <li>Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E and NFPA 79.</li> <li>Able to troubleshoot Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.</li> <li>Familiar with thermocouples, RTD’s, Transmitters and Flowmeter.</li> <li>Knowledge of Frequency Drives</li></ul>About us Howmet Aerospace Inc.
