Southwest Tennessee Community College is in the process of developing and launching a new Artificial Intelligence Technology program. As a result, this position will play an important role in supporting early-stage curriculum development, program planning, and implementation, in addition to teaching responsibilities. This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) appointment faculty position reporting to the Department Chair of Technologies. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related academic activities in the assigned discipline. Teaching responsibilities include foundational and advanced Artificial Intelligence topics such as Python programming, data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence tools and frameworks, neural networks, and ethical considerations in AI. Primary responsibilities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, curriculum development, student assessment, and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. The faculty member plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the Artificial Intelligence curriculum and integrating hands-on, applied learning experiences into the program. The faculty member is expected to perform assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus, as assigned. At a minimum, related faculty responsibilities include instruction, academic advising and mentoring, serving on departmental and college committees, and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. In addition to standard faculty responsibilities, this position includes assigned program coordination duties for the Artificial Intelligence Technology program as part of the faculty teaching load.   
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepare and deliver instruction in Artificial Intelligence Technology courses, including foundational and advanced topics such as Python programming, data analysis, machine learning, neural networks, generative AI tools, and ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence.</li>
<li>Teach courses using a variety of instructional delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and HyFlex formats.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, laboratory exercises, assignments, and assessments aligned with course and program learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Incorporate hands-on, applied, and project-based learning experiences using current AI tools and platforms.</li>
<li>Compile, administer, evaluate, and grade student coursework, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and projects in a fair and consistent manner.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate attendance records, grades, and required academic documentation in compliance with FERPA.</li>
<li>Maintain scheduled office hours and provide instructional counseling, academic advising, and tutoring support to students.</li>
<li>Participate in course- and program-level assessment and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. </li>
</ul>
Program Coordination Functions (Assigned as Part of Faculty Teaching Load)
<ul>
<li>Serve as Program Coordinator for the Artificial Intelligence Technology program.</li>
<li>Support the coordination, review, and continuous improvement of AI-related curricula, certificates, and degree pathways in collaboration with the Department Chair and Technologies faculty.</li>
<li>Coordinate program-level assessment activities and maintain required curriculum and assessment documentation in accordance with college and accreditation standards.</li>
<li>Support Artificial Intelligence advisory board activities, including meeting coordination, agenda development, and incorporation of industry feedback into program planning.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal and external partners to support workforce alignment, experiential learning opportunities, internships, and program outreach.</li>
<li>Assist with program promotion, recruitment, and enrollment initiatives related to Artificial Intelligence Technology.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Department Chair on program planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement efforts.</li>

Institutional Service and Professional Development

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, information technology, software engineering, or a closely related field OR Associate degree in a related field with demonstrated competencies in Artificial Intelligence and computing disciplines.

</li>
<li>Proficiency in reading, writing, and explaining code (Python preferred).

<li>A minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry or field experience preferred.

Title: HVAC Controls Engineer

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the documentation and software programming for all types of HVAC and process control systems and perform maintenance and service for our HVAC/ Mechanical site-based equipment. Also responsible for installing, programming, testing, calibrating, operating, and repair of control systems along with their related software, hardware, and equipment. These systems control and monitor air handlers, pumps, valves, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, boilers, chillers, and other heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and components. Works with communication protocols that include but not limited to, BACnet MSTP, Echelon, Modbus, BACnet and IP. As well, perform general HVAC service &amp; maintenance.
Job Duties:
Monitor daily mechanical operations of all campuses. Visit all campuses to configure, program, and customize control systems to meet project-specific needs. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring the seamless operation of all systems. Calibrate and update data collection points. Repair and maintenance to a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, chillers, and packaged units. Identify, size and create valve and actuator schedules. Download and adjust BAS programs. Perform functional checks of mechanical systems. Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age. Graduate of an accredited, approved police academy and be a certified police officer meeting all the requirements for P.O.S.T certification in Tennessee. Meet the requirements of TCA 38-8-106 and TCA 38-8-107 Qualifications of Police Officers. Out of state applicants are required to meet Tennessee P.O.S.T certification requirements within six (6) months of hire. Prior law enforcement experience as full-time certified officer must be within the past three (3) years. Must attend and successfully complete, annually, a department authorized and P.O.S.T approved in-service training course consisting of forty (40) hours of instruction. Must have not been convicted of or pleaded guilty to or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substances. Possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license. Out of state applicants must obtain a Tennessee driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire.
