Job Summary
The Student Engagement Coordinator supports the mission of Bluegrass Community and Technical College by developing and coordinating student activities across all BCTC campuses and online. This position plays a key role in fostering a vibrant campus community through the planning and implementation of events, student organizations, intramural sports, and leadership opportunities. The coordinator assists with oversight of the Student Government Association, supports First Year Orientations, and promotes student engagement initiatives through effective marketing, social media, and communication strategies. Collaborating with faculty, staff, and campus partners, the coordinator ensures that programs align with college goals, enhance student success, and reflect institutional values. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, assisting with budget planning, and supporting continuous improvement through assessment and evaluation of engagement efforts. This position reports to the Director of Student Engagement. 




Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Develop and coordinate student activities at all BCTC campuses and online including regional campuses. 
</li>
<li>Assist with the coordination and oversight of student organizations. 
</li>
<li>Oversee Student Success Hub social media by creating a strong online presence and engaging with students, ensuring compliance with college communication standards and strategies. 
</li>
<li>Assist in the coordination of the Student Government Association and serve as Co-Advisor. 
</li>
<li>Coordinate intramural sports including promotion, tracking data, and scheduling and overseeing games. 
</li>
<li>Assist the Student Success Coordinator with the implementation of college-wide First Year Orientations at all campuses. 
</li>
<li>Assist with the development of marketing and promotional materials – flyers, postcards, social media posts, etc. 
</li>
<li>Assist with updating content of the online student engagement website and events calendar. 
</li>
<li>Work cooperatively with college faculty, advisors, and other departments to coordinate services for students. 
</li>
<li>Assist with budget planning for student activities at all BCTC campuses. 
</li>
<li>Promote the Student Success Hub programs and services throughout the college. 
</li>
<li>Support accountability and institutional effectiveness by developing, implementing, and assessing effective procedures that support college operations and foster student success. 
</li>
<li>Keep accurate records relating to services provided to students. 
</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned. </li>

Minimum Qualifications:

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field.  
</li>
<li>Two years of experience 
</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to all BCTC campuses.     &nbsp;</li>

Preferred Qualifications:

This role bridges the gap between stakeholders and Products, ensuring our tools and processes support enterprise-wide data trust, quality, and compliance.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Define and execute the product strategy for Data Governance and Management capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise data policy, stewardship, and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Translate governance and policy standards (e.g., DCAM, DAMA, DMBOK) into product features and automated controls across metadata, lineage, and data quality platforms.</li><li>Partner closely with business stakeholders — Enterprise Data Office, Business Unit Data Office, Enterprise Architecture, and Compliance — to align data ownership, accountability, and value realization.</li><li>Collaborate with technology teams (ATLAS, MANTA, AI/ML) to ensure governance capabilities are implemented, scalable, and measurable.</li><li>Drive adoption and maturity of governance capabilities by developing clear use cases, metrics, and training plans that connect governance policy to business outcomes.</li><li>Represent the voice of stakeholders — data stewards, data custodians, executives and domain owners — ensuring that data controls are effective and frictionless.</li><li>Influence enterprise data culture by promoting accountability, transparency, and data literacy through well-designed governance capabilities.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>8+ years of experience in Product Management, Data Governance, or Data Strategy roles within complex enterprise environments.</li><li>Deep understanding of data governance and management frameworks (DCAM, DAMA, DMBOK) and how to operationalize them.</li><li>Strong ability to bridge business and technical perspectives — translating governance needs into system-level requirements.</li><li>Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and catalog tools (e.g., Data Hub, Open Metadata, MANTA, Collibra, Alation).</li><li>Proven experience collaborating with data stewards, compliance, and enterprise data offices to deliver measurable outcomes.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technology and business functions.</li><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, Data Management, Business, or a related field.</li></ul>Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
