Tutors support students in mastering course content through various formats, including homework assistance, test preparation, and skill-building. The goal is to help students develop effective learning strategies and academic confidence. We're currently seeking in-person tutoring support in the following subject areas:

<li>English Language Learners (ELL) 
</li>
<li>Higher level mathatics college algebra, and higher</li>

</ul>
Tutoring may occur in embedded class settings, walk-in sessions, or online formats. Tutors will work individually or in small groups and are expected to document their sessions. Additionally, tutors may be asked to design and lead success workshops related to their subject area. Professional Tutors are also expected to pursue ongoing professional development, including continuing education and participation in trainings and meetings. Work hours will vary, with a maximum of 10 hours per week. This position will be 80% online, with 20% of work on campus - safe at work guidelines must be followed. Tutors may be assigned to different campus or center locations. 




Job Duties:

Job Summary
This is a full-time permanent position under the supervision of the assigned Custodial Supervisor. The custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas and related work as required. He/she is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend at any Southwest Tennessee Community College location as assigned. The standard shift times are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Work is reviewed and evaluated through inspection of work performed. Specific duties may vary depending on the type of facility to be cleaned. This position primarily reports to the Union Avenue campus. This position may be contacted during non-duty hours.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Sweeps, mops and buffs stairs, corridors and floors.</li>
<li>Strips and waxes offices in assigned areas.</li>
<li>Cleans bathroom walls, floors, and fixtures; replenishes bathroom supplies and stock closets with supplies for contract service workers; responds to all emergency calls about custodial services in assigned areas.</li>
<li>Washes windows, polishes furniture and cleans woodwork in assigned areas.</li>
<li>Checks hallways and stairways for graffiti and debris.</li>
<li>Empties trash cans and cleans containers.</li>
<li>Vacuums carpets.</li>
<li>Picks up paper and debris on ground.</li>
<li>May perform other duties assigned.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
