POSITION SUMMARY This position is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which Nashville State instruction takes place. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester and hold office hours. POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Culinary Arts is a 9-month faculty position that, in collaboration with the Dean and Campus Director, provides the vision and leadership required to realize the mission of the CULA program. Primary administrative responsibilities include program development/management, budget development/management, purchasing of supplies and materials, maintaining programmatic accreditation/external partnerships and providing operational supervision to full and part time faculty and staff in the department. POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the of the Manager of Facilities, the HVAC supervisor performs skilled trade-level (journeyman) repair and maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation and air handling equipment. Required to install, maintain and repair electric, electronic and pneumatic controls systems with their supporting machinery, heating/air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems that incorporate pneumatic, digital, and central energy management system controls. Performs data entry and routine logging in the computerized controls management system (CCMS). Supervise HVAC mechanics in the proper protocols and repair procedures. Maintain flexibility and be available for duty during short-notice or urgent situations. Troubleshooting and repairing building control systems; optimizing controls and equipment for better usage by owner.
Installing, replacing, or repairing equipment; including the need to calibrate thermostatic controls; worn heating, ventilation and air-conditioning parts and equipment. Assists with construction projects affecting HVAC equipment or systems. Repair or replace low- and high-pressure liquid lines. Assembling and installing metal ductwork. Develop heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system modification plans. Create and maintain preventive maintenance checklists for equipment. Perform weekly site inspections and prepare a weekly status report for the Manager Facilities.
Inventory and catalogue HVAC systems by building/campus (including equipment type, manufacturer, serial number, capacity, and date of manufacture/install). Interprets as-built building blueprints and recommends system modifications. Researches and proposes materials for HVAC systems repair, and maintenance. Perform testing HVAC and Refrigeration for efficiency. Repairs and replaces defective equipment, components or wiring. Installs, connects and adjusts thermostats, humidistats and timers. Braze or solder parts to repair defective joints and leaks. Perform mechanical overhauls and refrigerant reclaiming. Maintains campus air handling equipment, chillers and ice machines.

Operates, cleans, maintains, fuels, and inspects buses. Ensures safe operation of the bus. Ensures the safety of all passengers. Maintains current status of all qualifications for commercial driving according to institution, local, state, and federal regulations. Completes all necessary paperwork promptly and accurately according to institution, state, and federal agencies. Completes all training and testing as required by the institution, state, and federal agencies. Maintains accurate records of hours of service and miles driven. Performs simple repairs to keep the buses safe and operable. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of experience driving a commercial or passenger vehicle. Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement with a clean driving record. Big bus - Class B CDL with P endorsement. Small bus - Class C CDL with P endorsement. Possess a current federal Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) medical card. Must be at least 25 years of age. Have no DWI or DUI convictions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience transporting college athletic teams or groups. Familiarity with regional and out-of-state travel logistics. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General knowledge of bus operation, including engine, transmission, cooling systems, safety features, basic electrical and vehicle HVAC. Ability to operate a bus safely. Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws. Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to schedules. Ability to adapt to stressful situations. Ability to work weekdays and weekends. Ability to travel overnight. Ability to work with faculty, staff, and student populations. Ability to sit for long periods of time, climb stairs multiple times per day, and tolerate a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. Exceptional customer service skills. Knowledge of Vol State campus locations and the surrounding areas.

Job Summary:
Provide instruction for the ESL (English as a Second Language) component of the Adult Education Program in compliance with the TN DOL Adult Education Curriculum. Teaching responsibilities may include day, evening, or weekend classes on and off-campus, using various formats for delivery.&nbsp;
Job Duties:
Plan, teach and evaluate student work in assigned ESL classes in compliance with the TN DOL Adult Education Curriculum. Assist with the administration and interpretation of students' scores on State approved examinations for student placement and instruction. Attend required meetings/training events as appropriate to the position. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Baccalaureate in Education or related field. A Tennessee Teacher's License is required unless an exception is approved by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development Division of Adult Education. Experience in teaching ESL.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an adult education environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with classroom technology. Familiarity with remote/virtual instruction. Computer skills in Microsoft Office. Analytical and organizational skills. Attention to detail.
