This is a full-time, tenure track, Faculty position in the Technologies Department. <li>Participates in student advising on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues while utilizing all resources within the college for guidance of students.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>

This position will require a disciplined approach towards ITSM methodologies ensuring the delivery of information technology services to meet the needs of the business community. <ul> <li> Manage, support, and design F5 and load balancing solutions for critical applications running on-prem, at multiple CSPs, and hybrid environments. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Consult with business partners on best practices and options with the various technology platforms. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Troubleshoot complex issues related to the Application Traffic Management environment (F5 and AVI) </li></ul> <ul> <li> Shift -oriented operations support, in collaboration with network operations and network engineering teams. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Work closely with business partners and other Global Network Services team to ensure 24x7 availability. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Member of 3rd level engineering escalation on-call rotation. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Escalate issues as needed. </li></ul> The Expertise and Skills You Bring <ul> <li> A minimum of 4-6 years’ engineering experience installing, configuring, and supporting load balancing technologies, preferably F5, HA Proxy, and/or VMWare/AVI. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Deep knowledge of Traffic Management platforms </li></ul> <ul> <li> Automation experience, eg. Ansible, Python (a plus, not required) </li></ul> <ul> <li> Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, including application knowledge. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Network Engineering and Troubleshooting skills </li></ul> <ul> <li> Application Traffic Analysis </li></ul> <ul> <li> Routed/Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, VPNs – a plus </li></ul> <ul> <li> Enterprise Security Policy knowledge and best practices </li></ul> <ul> <li> Agile methodologies and framework </li></ul> <ul> <li> Network certifications a plus but not required. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Works well independently and as part of a team; ability to lead a project. </li></ul> <ul> <li> Enjoys working directly with customers and solving their technical problems. </li></ul> The Team Global Network Services (GNS) is dedicated to the overall global network engineering and support for Fidelity Investments within Enterprise Infrastructure &amp; Operations (EI&amp;O). The Traffic Management Name Services (TMNS) team is a member of this GNS team, and our team is accountable for the Application Traffic Management and DNS related services for the enterprise.
