FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville is accepting applications for a Welding Technology Instructor position. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and located at the Main Campus, 2905 US 231 North, Shelbyville, TN.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to high school and adult students to prepare them for careers in welding.</li>
<li>Demonstrate and explain welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OFC, and PAC) in classroom and lab settings.</li>
<li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.</li>
<li>Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.</li>
<li>Assist in recruitment and placement of students.</li>
<li>Maintain good public relations with business and industry and maintain an active advisory board.</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent (HiSET acceptable).</li>
<li>Postsecondary diploma or A.A.S. in Welding or related field preferred.</li>

<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the welding occupation:
