Job Duties:
Teach 38-42 TLE per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned with both teaching and approved release time included in this expectation. Typically, the EMS program director receives 6 TLE release time per term. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Develop curriculum; evaluate and review credit and non-credit courses; develop online classes as needed. Evaluate and monitor progress to achieve goals and objectives (and those by any licensing, registering, or certifying agency as applicable); assist with affiliation and accreditation efforts. Recruit and advise students and support persistence/progression through graduation. Maintain office hours and availability to students. Complete required College trainings. Oversee student complaint resolution by ensuring that student discipline and complaint policy and procedures are followed, meet with students and coordinate with the Dean and/or Student Services personnel in mediating resolution. Develop, promulgate, implement, and monitor policies and procedures related to program equipment and laboratories that are consistent with Vol State and TBR policy. Develop, monitor, and maintain department budgets. Maintain parts and supplies inventory, ordering parts and supplies and keeping related records. Recommend the purchase of new equipment and submit appropriate purchase and/or TAF requests following Vol State and department procedures. Network with industry personnel to assist in promotion of the college and its programs and the securing of guest speakers and adjunct faculty. Maintain the program accreditation through the Committee on Accreditation for Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Oversee use of facilities and equipment for day, evening, and weekend classes offered by the EMS Education program. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution. Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Tennessee Paramedic, without a history of revocation, denial, or suspension of licensure and meet the requirements established by the Commission on Allied of Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation from the Committee on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), and the Tennessee Department of Health Division of EMS. Licensed emergency care experience shall include a minimum of three years practice. Minimum of three (3) years practicing in the pre-hospital emergency environment or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years in EMS education administration or, greater than three hundred (300) hours of EMS instruction. Administrative experience shall include a minimum of two years in EMS educational administration. Current endorsement in a Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric course at the provider level. Documented education or experience in instructional methodology. Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and about evidenced-informed clinical practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree. Instructor of Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric courses at the provider level.

This individual is responsible for securing major and transformational gifts, cultivating and stewarding key donor relationships, and supporting the Vice President for Advancement in driving fundraising success. The Senior Director will also serve as a critical leader, stepping in for the Vice President as needed in meetings, leadership functions, and strategic planning. This position will lead and facilitate special events and alumni engagement efforts.
Job Duties
Develop and execute strategic plans to meet annual and long-term fundraising goals, focusing on major gifts, planned giving, and donor engagement. Supervise staff, assigns projects, monitors and evaluates performance, and provides training. Cultivate and solicit major donors and prospects, fostering lasting relationships that lead to significant philanthropic support. Partner with leadership, faculty, and board members to identify and engage potential donors. Collaborate with advancement staff to coordinate Alumni engagement, fundraising campaigns, events, and communications. Facilitate management for Vol State Giving Day and other major events including sponsors, cultivating relationships post event. Serve as a strategic advisor to the Vice President for Advancement, contributing to the overall vision and direction of the advancement team. Represent the Vice President in internal and external meetings, as well as high-level engagements with donors, partners, and institutional leadership, when necessary. Monitor and analyze fundraising metrics to ensure goals are being met and strategies are effective. Ensure all donor information is accurately tracked and reported using the advancement Raisers Edge NXT system. Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of institutional priorities, programs, and goals. Attend college events, board meetings, and community functions as a visible representative of the Advancement Office. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on fundraising progress to college leadership and the foundation board. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. Four (4) years of related experience which may include nonprofit fundraising, event planning, managing volunteers, cultivating and obtaining sponsorships for events and relationships with donors. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree. Experience in Higher Education Advancement and Alumni or equivalent experience in fundraising. Experience with Raisers Edge NXT.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be a willing advocate of the mission of the college. Must have strong leadership, human relations, and communications skills, including effective public speaking skills. Excellent computer and analytic skills. Demonstrated problem solving, fiscal, and time management skills. Demonstrated experience in building and managing donor relationships, with a strong understanding of strategic fundraising. Experience in budget management and strategic planning. Ability to give and accept supervision. Ability to evaluate situations, solve problems and make decisions. Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative relations with students, faculty, staff, administration, volunteers and members of the community (to represent the college well under all circumstances). 
Pay Rate: $68,434 - $85,542 annual salary depending on experience
