JOB STANDARDS:
Minimum Faculty Qualifications
A master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours (or equivalent) in computer applications or technical and adult education, or related courses, is required.
Certiport MOS Word Expert certification is required (or the ability to obtain certification by December 31, 2026).
A minimum of two years of work experience with Microsoft Office applications or office systems technology is preferred.
Teaching experience, especially in a community college environment, is preferred.
Pellissippi State Community College recognizes that the ability to communicate effectively is an essential skill for all academic personnel to perform competently. &nbsp;To ensure that all faculty are proficient in oral and written English, the following requirements are to be used during the selection process to evaluate candidates:
a. Ability to speak and write English clearly;
b. Ability to understand written and spoken English; and
c. Ability to communicate effectively in an academic environment (for example, previous successful employment in an academic institution).
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.
