Job-Specific Responsibilities: As part of a collaborative research effort, this role contributes to long-term ecological studies on climate and environmental change through hands-on laboratory work and data analysis.Key responsibilities of this role include:<ol><li>Conduct sample preparation, image analysis, measurement, and analysis of ecological samples from old-growth forests. Evaluate samples using standard cross-dating procedures to determine data quality. Perform intensive microscopic or similar sample analysis in the laboratory to collect sample data with a high degree of skill and precision.</li><li>Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) with additional quality-check data analysis, including creating ring-width chronologies, in preparation for data management and archival in the Harvard Forest data archive. This work will also enable successful transfer of data at the end of the project to publicly held databases such as the DendroEcological Network. The primary purpose of the full-time Maintenance Technician II is to provide general maintenance with an emphasis on commercial equipment and upkeep of building and grounds to maintain a safe and clean environment for learning.




Job Duties:
• Perform HVAC monitoring/maintenance for commercial buildings that would include knowledge in boilers, chillers and water source heat pumps (geo-thermal and water source heat pumps). • Perform general electrical repairs and service that includes working with voltages ranging from 120 to 480. Must be comfortable on ladders or scaffolds up to 30 feet. • Performs grounds maintenance such as: mowing, weed eating, trimming trees, planting, snow removal, parking lot repairs. Clean leaves, dirt, and debris from building entryways. Inspect and clean sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways as needed. Pick up trash across campus and its perimeter. • Perform general equipment repairs and furniture assembly. • Perform general custodial duties when custodial workers are off the schedule. Assists with set up and tear down for campus events with the custodial workers. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or Director of Maintenance &amp; Operations.

Job Summary
Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a candidate for a Security Officer in our exciting fast-paced Campus Safety and Security Department located on the Technical campus. This is a 2nd shift position (2:00 pm- 10:00 pm).




Job Duties:
Candidates will be responsible for providing on-going visual inspection by foot, bike, and/or vehicle patrols, completing incident, accident and injury reports as needed and providing other security services in order to maintain a safe, secure campus environment for students, staff, faculty and visitors. Other duties include but are not limited to: • Assists with campus crisis situations, with building evacuations, drills, etc. as needed and monitors parking facilities, insuring only authorized vehicles parked in restricted areas; issues citations as needed. • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. 




Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED and one year of Security or related work experience (other Security, Corrections, Police, Fire, EMS, or Military). Strong written and verbal skills are necessary. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows applications is preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.&nbsp;
