Position Summary
The Business Operations Manager serves as a key member of the School of Nursing and Health Professions (SNHP) team and supports the Dean in overseeing the school's financial, operational, and administrative activities, as well as collaborates with program chairs, directors, and faculty as appropriate. This position is responsible for budget planning and monitoring, operational coordination, compliance reporting, staff supervision, and special projects that support the school's academic mission and strategic goals. The Business Operations Manager reports to the Dean, School of Nursing and Health Professions.

Job Duties
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and business operations management.
- Experience developing and managing annual operating budgets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and strong skills in Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare and present executive-level financial and operational reports.
- Knowledge of higher education finance, budgeting practices, and administrative operations.
- Ability to effectively support grants administration and maintain compliance oversight.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiencies.
- Ability to learn and monitor accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and reporting processes in higher education.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree.
Required Work Experience
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, financial management, budgeting, or administration to include direct experience in financial reporting, budget development, and operational planning.
- One (1) year of experience supervising staff or leading operational initiatives in a relevant environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business or health related field.
- Experience in higher education administration.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
- Must have a valid driver's license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.
- Valid identification with "Real Id" designation, as required for air travel.
Work Hours
Typical Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional extended hours/weekends to meet departmental needs (including travel) and/or needs of the learning community, with some weeknights and weekends.
Physical Demands
- Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
- Ability to regularly move about campus, event venues, and recruitment sites to actively engage potential students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs for table set-up/tear-down at events to include reaching overhead, bending, squatting to retrieve office/marketing/events materials.
- Ability to push/pull event carts holding up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to navigate airports with recruiting materials.
