GENERAL DUTIES

The practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Director of Nursing, shall be responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to: planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting; maintaining confidential, accurate and complete records on paper and electronically; providing individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervising students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintaining good public relations with clinical partners. The practical nursing instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to related business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area. Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Teach courses via on ground as assigned. Teach evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Post grades during the term for student feedback and submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.</li>
<li>Complete required College trainings and complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Advise the Program Chair or Dean at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as requested by the Program Chair and/or Dean. Comply with all the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>
