MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The Associate Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; assist in recruiting new students, and assist with graduate placement. This position must also maintain good public relations with business and industry; maintain an active advisory committee; cooperate with outside agencies; and supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education. This position is full-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Scheduled class hours are Monday through Friday, 3:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Instruction is delivered in-person at Stewart County High School. POSITION SUMMARY This position is a nine-month faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Communication. This position may include opportunities to support Communication course leadership efforts, such as contributing to assessment or supporting adjunct faculty.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Work with Course Leads, Department Chair, and Dean to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Position Requirements

Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
• Must have a high school diploma or GED/HiSET. Technical diploma or post-secondary credential in a related field. Associate Degree preferred. • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in industry. • In-depth knowledge of electronics, variable frequency drives, mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, PLC (RSLogix), instrumentation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and industrial robotics. • Familiarity with safety protocols and industrial standards. • Must possess computer skills and knowledge of emerging technologies in manufacturing and automation. • Skilled in managing deadlines and working in a team-oriented environment. • Committed to utilizing technology in teaching/learning experience and willingness to stay up to date in developing instructional technologies. Job Duties
Instruct students through lecture, demonstrations, simulation, and/or audio-visual aids to prepare them to enter the heavy equipment operation profession
Administer assessments to evaluate student progress.
Maintain confidential student academic records and submit reports related to the program (i.e., grades, attendance, discipline, etc.).
Develop, plan and prepare a complete progressive course of study, syllabi, lesson plans, assignment and instructional aids, and keep these revised and up to date to meet the requirements of industry.
Conduct and/or attend meetings, day and/or evening, with program stakeholders.
Participate in recruitment of students; Assist with student placement and student follow-up.&nbsp;

Job Summary
Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites.

For part-time faculty who continue to work at Columbia State, salary is based on collegiate level teaching experience documented during the first semester of teaching.
Part-Time Faculty Duties and Responsibilities
The part-time faculty member reports directly to the dean for assignments/duties and is responsible for:
