Job Summary: The purpose of this position to provide comprehensive support in admissions, registration, financial aid, and advising for non-degree seeking students. Responsibilities include application assistance, scheduling appointments, myPellissippi navigation, and processing EVEA documents. Duties involve FAFSA and state applications, verification, document uploads , and status advising. This role also includes advising students on contacting professors and administrators, school policies, and community events. This position ensures a seamless service experience, promoting student success and supporting institutional goals in recruitment, retention, and graduation.
Essential Functions:
55% Serve as the initial customer service contact for Student Services.
<ul>
<li>Assist students/parents with all onboarding/enrollment questions. Assess student needs and provide direct assistance to students in helping them apply to Pellissippi State, enroll in classes, collect documents, apply for funding and help them understand the appropriate forms, processes, and procesdures for all areas of Enrollment Services.</li>
<li>Provide individual assistance to students including but not limited to analyzing and troubleshooting individual needs and assisting with on-line self-service accounts (view/change their personal information, apply for financial aid: FAFSA, state aid and scholarship applications, complete needed requirements).</li>
<li>Provide information to students, parents, staff, and general public regarding all enrollment and financial aid questions and/or requirements, including but not limited to MyPellissippi navigation, transcripts, payments, advising, testing, orientation, secure document upload, alerts and general information about the college and events in person, via telephone, email, US mail, and on-line using extensive knowledge of FERPA, College policy, State, and Federal Regulations.</li>
<li>Collect, scan, download and notate completed financial aid documents via various forms of electronic or non-electronic submission.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Work with each student holistically to create social belonging, build rapport and establish the Start Strong mentality to increase student success and retention.</li>
</ul>
5%&nbsp; Function as a critical link or liason between customers and PSCC by making referrals to student affairs, academic divisions, counselors, advisors, instructional staff and other PSCC staff members when needed.
10% Participate in scheduled phone and chat shifts and monitor phone queue during peak times to assist as needed. Respond to Start Strong emails, including those regarding specific financial aid, admissions, records and cashiering questions.
10% Participate in on-going training/professional development in the following areas; admissions, registration, financial aid, student account services and advising.
10% Utilize applicable software programs/websites such as but not limited to: MyPellissippi, Banner (INB and SSB), Argos, BDMS, FAST, ETC, Studentaid.gov, TSAC portal, TNReconnect.gov, etc…and provide guidance to students/parents on how to navigate the applicable websites and assist students with accessing account information including, but not limited to: interpreting registration holds, providing prerequisite overrides, uploading secure documents, and clarifying financial aid and admissions requirements.&nbsp;

Physical Demands: This position requires that an employee be able to stand and sit for lengths of 30 minutes or more. Employees must be able to stand up and sit down frequently as they are working with students. Employees should be able to bend, turn and lift up to 15 pounds. During peak times, June, July and August employees may be on their feet for the duration of their shift (7.5 hours) without much time to sit between students.&nbsp;
Hazards: Employees could develop wrist or hand issues from typing and using a computer. Employees could develop some lower back, neck and shoulder pain from constantly standing and sitting. Additionally, employees are standing on concrete a large part of their day so may develop foot, knee or back pain and swelling. Employees are working with large amounts of different people every day so may be at a higher risk of getting the common cold, flu or viruses.

      Enrollment Specialist II
    

The Director of Grants and Strategic Resource Development is responsible for identifying and securing grants to support operations, new and existing academic programs, and capital projects, as well as monitoring/managing new and select existing grants the College has received. The individual reports to the Vice President of External Affairs. The Director of Grants and Strategic Resource Development is expected to work collaboratively with the executive leadership team, ensuring that grant opportunities align with the College’s Mission, Strategic Plan, and operational and capital needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Identify grant opportunities, write, and prepare grant proposals and submit to secure external funding (public and private) to align with capital, programmatic, and operational needs that support the college's mission and institutional priorities.</li>
<li>Convene and regularly hold planning meetings with key College personnel to identify and update the capital and operational needs and priorities.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with faculty, chairs, program directors, the finance team, and executive leadership to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff, and the communities the college serves.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Inform the College community about grant opportunities, awards, and related funding possibilities, and offer grant seminars for interested faculty and staff.</li>
<li>Maintain an inventory of grants awarded to the College and report periodically to the Vice President of External Affairs, including funding agency contact information, reporting requirements, timelines, and other relevant information.</li>
<li>Become familiar with and incorporate the use of grant research tools to promote the internal grants process.</li>
<li>Coordinate, monitor, and manage new and select existing grants, including fiscal records, budgets, and budget amendments, compliance dates, and required reports.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensure that all post-award activities are completed and compliant, including financial oversight, reporting, deliverables, and the close-out process.</li>
<li>Work with appropriate College personnel (e.g., Comptroller and Director of Administrative Services) to ensure regulation compliance and monitor financial records, contracts, reports, billing, and audits related to grants received by the College.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Develop a database containing information on grant and other funding opportunities available, applied for, and outcomes.</li>
<li>Review the College’s current grant workflow process and make recommendations for improvement.</li>
<li>Engage with other fundraising activities as requested by the Vice President of External Affairs.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serve on College committees and participate in shared governance.</li>
<li>Develop with the supervisor and maintain a professional growth plan.</li>

The Assistant Director of Workforce Development supports the strategic mission of the Workforce Development Department and reports to the External Affairs Division. The Assistant Director of Workforce Development maintains knowledge of regional labor market trends, employer needs, and regional funding priorities to develop and deliver high-quality, relevant training programs. The Assistant Director of Workforce Development provides leadership to the Workforce Training and Development Division and collaborates in providing access to new and expanded workforce training opportunities and designing and delivering comprehensive pathways to employment. This includes but is not limited to (1) personnel management, (2) assisting with budget management, (3) class planning and scheduling, (4) internal and external reporting, (5) data management, and (6) employer relations. The Assistant Director of Workforce Development meets with new and existing businesses and industry leaders with the goal of identifying the need for new programs and new workforce training opportunities, as well as establishing new business and industry partnerships. A key role of this position is staying abreast of emerging and new industries in the region by collaborating with Economic Development Organizations and local and regional government entities. This candidate must also know, or obtain knowledge of, programmatic accreditation/certification to develop and execute a training program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Workforce Development is responsible for articulating the mission of the Dyersburg State Community College Workforce Development department to prospective students and businesses in various settings, including information sessions, industry meetings, etc. This position cooperates with internal and external constituents in a broad context of operations and planning. This position is responsible for short-term, non-credit programs and project management of those said programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>This position oversees multiple workforce development programs across multiple college locations, with travel required as appropriate.</li>
<li>Collaborates regularly with local and regional Economic Development Organizations and the Vice President of External Affairs to identify opportunities for developing new or customized training programs.</li>
<li>Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders regarding training program needs and/or ideas.</li>
<li>Analyzes industry needs through various means and seeks out opportunities to support regional industries with training programs.</li>
