Job-Specific Responsibilities: <ul><li>Develop and implement strategy: Work with the GPL Executive Director and leadership team to refine GPL’s strategy by leading special projects that may include: assessing and advancing the GPL’s impact in the field, improving the GPL’s strategic knowledge management and impact framework, and supporting development. Support the Executive Director in integrating strategic direction across GPL policy areas and strategic capabilities.&nbsp;<ul><li>Strategic knowledge management: Work closely with GPL Policy Leads and staff to translate strategic decisions into action, providing resources and support, and facilitating efficient engagement with the GPL Executive Director. The ideal candidate will be an M.D/ D.O. or equivalent, eligible for a Kentucky Medical License, have completed an accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship, and BE/BC in both Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine. Fellowship in lung transplantation, 3-5 years of experience in the care of lung transplant patients, and eligible for primary physician certification with the OPTN. Candidates will be expected to play a leadership role in the growth and development of the lung transplant program as well as participate in the care of inpatients in the UK Lung Transplant program, the evaluation of patients for lung transplant listing both inpatient and outpatient, and outpatient post-transplant care. Job Summary:
The primary objective of this position is to promote, develop and manage the operation of the Springfield Center of Volunteer State Community College consistent with institutional goals and objectives.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with the President, Vice Presidents, and other members of the Leadership Team regarding strategic direction and planning for the Springfield Center. Provide overall leadership and management of the Springfield Center, overseeing daily operations and resources. Develops community partnerships and represents the College in the community, promoting the development of the Springfield Center and awareness of offerings. Serve as the College’s primary liaison in Robertson County, cultivating strong relationships with community leaders, businesses, nonprofits, public agencies, and industry groups. Partner with the Office of Marketing, Communications, and Media Services to promote the Springfield Center’s programs, events, and activities. Collaborates with the academic divisions and the Director of Dual Enrollment and Off-Campus Sites to develop and coordinate the schedule of classes at the Springfield Center and at dual enrollment sites in the region. Collaborates with Economic Development and Strategies in developing non-credit/business and industry/workforce development programs at the Center and at other locations in the area. Supervises the management of the physical facilities and equipment at the campus and coordinates with Gallatin campus staff as needed to ensure the proper maintenance and appearance of the facilities. Maintains regular contact with the essential offices and support services on Gallatin Campus to conduct the day-to-day business of the Center. Maintains a working knowledge of internal and external policies, guidelines, and procedures specific to the operation of a Center. Assists in the formulation of reports, analyses, studies, objectives, and strategies on enrollment, major trends, patterns, projections, etc. related to the Center. Participates in the ongoing activities and training, and other activities of the College, as required. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree. Two years supervisory experience in a higher education setting in the area of administration, teaching or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Education or closely related field. Knowledge of Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Experience in higher education developing and coordinating various community, industry, and educational partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be a willing advocate of the mission of the college. A demonstrated commitment to public higher education. Must have strong leadership, human relations, and communications skills, including effective public speaking skills. Self-motivating initiative, diplomacy, mature nature, flexibility in dealing with multiple tasks. Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office products, ERP solutions, and other related software. Excellent organization skills along with being detailed oriented. Demonstrated commitment to excellence. Ability to understand and use data in decision-making. Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality; exceptional customer services skills; and possess the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, excellent management and team building skills. Demonstrated knowledge of community college practices and procedures.
Pay Rate: $56,881 - $71,101 annual salary depending on experience
