The individual will collaborate with various stakeholders, including model owners, validation teams, internal audit, and senior management, to maintain a robust model risk management program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various technologies, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Governance Framework:</li></ul>oImplement and maintain the organization's model risk management framework, policy, standards, and procedures.oStay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards.oMaintain a comprehensive model inventory.oMonitor adherence to model risk management policies and procedures, and implement corrective actions as needed.<ul><li>Regulatory Compliance:</li></ul>oStay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry trends related to model risk management.oEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, including SR 11-7 and other applicable guidelines.oManage regulatory and audit responses related to model risk management.<ul><li>Risk Reporting:</li></ul>oMonitor and report on model risk exposures and trends.oEnsure timely and accurate reporting of model risk issues to senior management and committee.<ul><li>Stakeholder Collaboration:</li></ul>oAct as a liaison between model risk management, business units, internal audit, and regulatory bodies.oCollaborate with model owners and validation teams to ensure adherence to model risk governance requirements.oProvide guidance and support to stakeholders on model risk-related matters.This position will provide the opportunity to interface directly with Senior Leaders within GRC as well as across the enterprise; the nature of the work is fast paced with high impact.Minimum QualificationsSkills:<ul><li>Analytically superior and a good problem solver</li><li>Able to demonstrate strong knowledge of risk and financial management</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to clearly articulate or interpret technical documents, regulatory guidelines, and complex project requirements in a concise manner to various stakeholders</li><li>Outstanding multi-tasking and project management skills</li><li>Superb teamwork aptitude, to work with colleagues and stakeholder across various AXP offices globally</li><li>Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills; </li><li>Extremely high attention to detail</li><li>Self-starter and enthusiastic attitude</li></ul>Educational Requirement:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in management or science (statistics, finance, decision science, economics, or closely related fields)</li><li>Graduate degree such as M.S. and Ph.D. (in statistics, finance, decision science, economics, or closely related fields); or MBA is preferred</li><li>0-3 years of experience in related field</li></ul>Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
